At Haines Light Haulage we understand that some of our competitors offer a ‘low price’ only to then hit you with hidden extra charges when the work is underway, that’s why we offer transparent pricing that you can rely on.

If we offer a fixed price that is the price you will pay, unless you request additional work after we have provided a quote.

For hourly work within Derby and it’s suburbs we charge for the time we are with you, for work that begins or ends outside of Derby travelling charges at the relevant hourly rate may apply dependent on location.

We are happy to offer fixed price or hourly rates on the majority of moves we undertake but the method you require must be agreed beforehand and can not be changed once the work is underway except at our absolute discretion.

Hourly

 
Hourly work is ideal for smaller jobs or when you don’t know how much you need us to do and offers far greater flexibility on the day if your requirements change.
 

Current hourly rates are as follows:

Additional crew member – £25 / hour

(Reduced rates may be available for single item/small loads)
 
A mileage allowance of 15 miles per hour per vehicle is included in our hourly pricing.

This is more than enough for the majority of moves and collections, but additional fuel charges may be payable at a rate of £15 per 50 miles (30p per mile) per vehicle for moves that exceed this allowance. We will advise you beforehand if a fuel charge is likely.

 


Fixed Price

 

Fixed price work is great when you want to know exactly what you’ll be paying, upon receiving detailed information about your requirements (A free home survey may be required for full or part house/office moves), we decide which vehicles and crew we need to complete your move in a timely and efficient manner, the price we offer will be the price you pay unless additional services are requested/required or if our crew are delayed or obstructed from carrying out their duty, see Late Key Waiver below for more information.
There are no additional fuel charges for fixed price jobs.
 
 
 

 

Late Key Waiver

 
When we offer a fixed price we estimate the time it will take our crew to complete the required move, our quote assumes our crew will have unhindered access to all properties/areas as required to fulfill our contract with you.
If our crew are delayed or obstructed from completing the move and are left waiting additional charges will be incurred at the relevant hourly rate. Example situations where this may occur: When we arrive at your new property and the previous occupants have not yet vacated; A delay in fund transfer which means keys to your new property are not released when expected.
For added peace of mind we can offer you a Late Key Waiver, where our crew will wait for up to 3 hours without incurring the usual hourly charge.

The charge for the Late Key Waiver is £100 and must be agreed and paid for at least 24 hours prior to your move.

Because we arrange storage on your behalf with different storage companies in and around Derby we are not able to provide pricing on our website. Please contact us with your requirements and we will strive to find you the best deal we can.
